The fourth day of the Erasmus+ KA153 – Mobility of Youth Workers project "Breathe Up Mind" (Project No. 2025-3-ES02-KA153-YOU-000381042), coordinated by Generaciones Saludables España, continued in Madrid, Spain with experiential workshops focusing on body awareness and mindfulness through sensory exploration. Bringing together youth workers from Spain, Türkiye, North Macedonia, Italy, Hungary, and Ukraine, the project continues to promote innovative approaches that strengthen mental well-being and emotional resilience in youth work.

The day began with the Body Awareness: Somatic Approaches workshop, where participants explored the connection between physical sensations and emotional well-being. Through guided movement, breathing exercises, and body-awareness techniques, youth workers learned to recognize how stress manifests in the body and discovered practical methods for self-regulation. The session emphasized the importance of developing a healthy mind-body connection as a foundation for effective and sustainable youth work.

In the afternoon, participants took part in the Sensory Exploration Stations activity, an interactive experience designed to enhance present-moment awareness through the five senses. By engaging in a series of hands-on exercises, participants practiced slowing down, observing their surroundings with greater attention, and strengthening their mindfulness skills. The activity also demonstrated how sensory-based methods can be adapted to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences for young people.

The fourth day highlighted the value of experiential learning in promoting mental health and emotional balance. By combining somatic practices with sensory awareness activities, participants gained practical tools that can be integrated into youth work to foster resilience, reduce stress, and support the overall well-being of young people and youth workers alike.
