Healthy Youth in All Aspects (Project No: 2023-3-ES02-KA152-YOU-000178532) was a Youth Exchange project coordinated by Generaciones Saludables España and implemented in Gijón, Spain, between 4 August 2024 and 10 August 2024. The project brought together young participants from Spain, Latvia, Belgium, Turkey, Romania, and Hungary, creating an international learning environment where young people explored different aspects of healthy living through non-formal education, intercultural cooperation, and practical learning experiences.

One of the central learning themes focused on the importance of adequate and balanced nutrition as a foundation for a healthy lifestyle. Participants explored how daily food choices directly influence physical health, energy levels, personal development, and long-term well-being.

Interactive presentations introduced the principles of healthy eating while encouraging participants to reflect on their own dietary habits and identify practical ways to improve them in everyday life.

The educational sessions also highlighted the consequences of unhealthy eating patterns and the importance of making informed food choices. Participants examined topics such as limiting sugar consumption, reducing processed food intake, staying properly hydrated, and understanding the nutritional value of different foods. By analysing real-life examples and discussing common eating habits, they developed greater awareness of how nutrition affects both physical and mental health while strengthening their ability to make healthier decisions independently.

Collaborative discussions created opportunities for participants to exchange experiences from their own countries and compare different cultural approaches to nutrition and healthy lifestyles. Through group conversations and problem-solving activities, they explored practical strategies for preparing balanced meals, reading food labels, and becoming more conscious consumers. These exchanges encouraged critical thinking, intercultural learning, and respect for diverse dietary traditions while demonstrating that healthy living can be adapted to different cultures and lifestyles.

The combination of expert guidance, interactive discussions, and collaborative learning enabled participants to develop valuable knowledge that extends far beyond the project itself. They improved their understanding of nutrition, strengthened their decision-making and communication skills, and gained the confidence to promote healthier eating habits within their families, schools, and local communities. By connecting personal well-being with responsible lifestyle choices, the project empowered young people to become active ambassadors of healthy living across Europe.
