At Generaciones Saludables España, we run projects aimed at helping young people adopt healthy lifestyles and create positive change in their communities. These projects focus on supporting personal development, increasing social participation, and empowering youth to reach stronger social, cultural, and economic positions.

From April 28 to May 5, 2025, we hosted the Erasmus+ project “Legacy of the Soil: Sustainable Agriculture and Safe Food”, bringing together 40 young people and youth workers from Turkey, Hungary, Poland, Iceland, and Spain. This project aimed to help participants develop leadership, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Project Goals and Activities

The main objectives of the project were to support personal growth, enhance social participation, and help youth achieve stronger social, cultural, and economic positions. To achieve these goals, the following activities were organized:

  • Introductory Meeting and Orientation: Allowed participants to meet each other and get project information.

  • Integration Games: Strengthened social interaction and created synergy among participants.

  • Erasmus+ and Youthpass Promotion: Provided participants with information about these programs and the skills they would gain.

  • Bicycle Training: Encouraged healthy habits and improved cycling skills.

  • Cultural Activities: Offered the chance to learn about different cultures and increased motivation for language learning.

  • Seminars: Covered important topics such as climate change, food security, and organic agriculture.

  • Workshops: Allowed participants to showcase and develop their artistic skills.

  • Environmental Tour: Improved observation and comparison skills while exploring the city.

Participant Profile and Numbers

The project hosted 40 participants from Spain, Turkey, Hungary, Poland, and Iceland. Each country contributed 8 participants—4 females and 4 males—including youth with fewer opportunities. This diversity brought different perspectives and enriched the project experience.

Project Impact and Results

The successful completion of the project led to several positive outcomes:

  • Increased Youth Participation: Encouraged active involvement and contribution to society.

  • Cultural Understanding: Brought together youth from different countries, fostering respect for diversity and promoting a more tolerant generation.

  • Personal and Professional Development: Strengthened key skills such as communication, leadership, problem-solving, and teamwork.

  • Sustainable Collaboration and Networks: Established long-term partnerships and networks between participants and organizations.

  • Contribution to Local Communities: Knowledge and experiences gained were shared with local communities, enhancing youth work.

  • Promotion of Erasmus+ and Youthpass: Increased awareness of these programs and encouraged participants to benefit more from international mobility opportunities.

The Legacy of the Soil: Sustainable Agriculture and Safe Food Erasmus+ project successfully supported young people’s personal growth, enhanced social participation, and empowered them to take stronger positions socially, culturally, and economically. At Generaciones Saludables España, we will continue running projects that promote healthy lifestyles and positive community impact.
