The United Colors for an Inclusive Future Youth Exchange, held in Gijón, Spain, provided participants with the opportunity to reflect on the knowledge, skills, and competences they had developed throughout the project. Through the Youthpass process, young people evaluated their progress in areas such as learning to learn, communication in foreign languages, digital competence, cultural awareness, social skills, and active citizenship. This reflection helped participants better understand the personal and professional value of their Erasmus+ experience.

The final reflection and feedback sessions allowed participants to share their experiences, evaluate the impact of the activities, and discuss the lessons they had learned throughout the project. Through open discussions and constructive exchanges, they explored ways to promote inclusion and raise awareness about the rights of people with disabilities in their own communities. These sessions strengthened critical thinking, self-expression, and problem-solving skills while encouraging active participation.

Sustainability-focused activities encouraged participants to develop ideas for future dissemination initiatives and awareness-raising campaigns. By exchanging ideas and planning follow-up actions, young people identified practical ways to transfer the knowledge and experiences gained during the project to their local communities. This process reinforced the long-term impact of the project and promoted continued engagement with issues related to inclusion and equal opportunities.

The certificate ceremony served as a meaningful celebration of the participants’ dedication, learning, and achievements. Receiving their Youthpass certificates symbolized not only their participation in the project but also the valuable competences and experiences they had acquired throughout the exchange. The ceremony strengthened the sense of accomplishment and highlighted the strong friendships and intercultural connections built during the project.

A city tour of Gijón offered participants the chance to explore the city’s historical and cultural heritage while spending quality time together before returning to their home countries. Discovering local traditions, landmarks, and everyday life enriched their intercultural learning experience and created lasting memories. As a result of these activities, participants completed the project with greater awareness, stronger social responsibility, and a deeper commitment to building a more inclusive society for all.
